JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership and expertise for loaner kit/order fulfillment. This role is responsible for overseeing the distribution of products/services for our representatives and customers. Specifics include: order entry; picking, shipping, tracking and usage. By managing these processes, you will maintain a state of constant audit readiness, including outstanding transactions, which account for up to 50% of Branch's inventory assets.
You will also lead, supervise and coordinate the activities of all loaner kit/ warehouse operations throughout the entire branch, including production and operating workers. This will encompass the people manager responsibilities including: scheduling, training, coaching, discipline, performance management and evaluation, compensation management, recruitment and terminations.
Depending on the branch size, this role may also encompass the leadership for inventory operations and personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage best practice implementation to meet/exceed business goals and standardsInspect products or materials for damage, defects, or shortagesMeeting established metrics for operations (i.e. turns, service levels)Check inventory records to determine availability of requested productsCompile and inspect incoming/outgoing kits for compliance with specifications and usageClean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulationsExamine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisorsCoordinate Drivers and routes - shipments, etc.Assess product delivery choicesUse computers to enter, access, retrieve dataMaintain account records, reporting and filingProcess orders for productsConfer with distribution, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel in order to expedite or trace deliveriesInvestigate customer complaintsTrack service levels and problem solve any discrepanciesParticipate in on-call rotation scheduleUtilize processes and tools for scheduling surgeriesManage inventories by tracking inventory records reflecting product movement, notifying departments when supplies of specific items are low, or when orders would deplete available suppliesWork with internal resources for alternative product obtainment (e.g. loaner bank, other warehouses, consignments)Cycle count activitiesSet up and organize the warehouse for incoming and outgoing surgery shipmentsOrganize, retrieve or place goods from/into stock received via multiple sourcesKeep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment, inventory for expiration dates etc.Prepare reports as requiredSupports management in preparation for branch auditsRotate in the on-call scheduleSchedule and lead meetings with team members to update on new policies/procedures, schedules and incidentsQUALIFICATIONS:Extensive warehouse/inventory control experience in a demanding, fast-paced environmentDemonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to successfully communicate verbally and in writingStrong experience in materials/distribution operationsStrong skills with office technology (e.g. ERP systems, Access, Excel and Word.) and associated data analysis/diagnostic skillsDemonstrated use of principles and methods for product or order fulfillment including needs assessment, product usage, and inventory control systems and processesEDUCATION:BS/BA in business or related discipline desiredKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
