Tax Accountant

We invite you to join TAMS and become part of our Toshiba family.In this position, you will prepare federal consolidated tax returns for TAMS and its subsidiaries TAMI, TMRU and ASC (combined annual sales in excess of $600M); Prepare state income tax return filings in 45 states and 5 cities; Assimilate TAMS and TAMI financial information for federal and tax filing including: analyzing financial information by account for Schedule M’s (accounting vs. federal tax differences) to arrive at the basis for tax returns; preparing schedules for multi-state tax returns including state modifications (federal vs. state differences), and state apportionment schedules (state percentage to be applied to overall taxable income).You will integrate/input information into tax filing system for refinement and preparation; Prepare quarterly estimated payment and extension calculations for federal and state filings (over 50 jurisdictions); Prepare semi-annual FASB 109 (Tax Provision) calculation; Annually update and maintain tax depreciation system; File annual reports in 50 states and other miscellaneous reports; Assist in responding to Federal and State tax audits; Assist in transfer price studies; Provide Federal and State tax law information to management by researching code section regulations, etc. to provide advice on technical tax ramification to the company; Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires 4-year degree in accounting, finance or a related field (CPA a plus).5+ years experience performing the above functions.Experience in utilizing electronic tax filing, preferably FASTAX.PC proficiency including Excel, word processing.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.Good verbal and written communication skills.
