Surgical Sales Representative - Quill Wound Closure - Chicago

Positioned for rapid growth within the $1.7 billion wound closure market with the recent acquisition of new technology, Angiotech is seeking a Surgical Sales Representative to sell our highly specialized and unique Quill® line of sutures.

Our leading product, the Quill® Self Retaining System (SRS) is a revolutionary concept in wound closure, a market that has not seen any significant product innovations in many years. Using a patented barbed geometry design, the Quill® SRS offers an elegant time-saving option for surgeons which eliminates the need for tying knots while providing improved tissue approximation. The Quill® SRS possesses the strength and control of sutures combined with the speed and ease of applying staples.

 

ResponsibilitiesSell Wound Closure medical device suite of products to new and existing customers.Develop and implement tactical sales plans for growing new business, and expanding current business within territory.Maintain complete ownership over designated accounts within territory.Work with other sales and marketing employees to enhance technical visibility and company image within all accounts.Establish and manage territory's target list and forecast for prospective accounts.Build and maintain professional business relationships with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and technicians.Conduct sales presentations to large and small groups and demonstrate use of Interventional medical device product portfolio to prospective end user.Provide in-servicing and clinical information to end users in and around procedure rooms and surgical suites.Prospect via phone and cold calling.Utilize a variety of selling skills and techniques to achieve minimum quota standards.Provide reports to management on activities, forecasts, sales and projects accurately and on time.Acquire and maintain knowledge of competitive products and services.

RequirementsBachelors degree required.Minimum 3 years of medical device sales experience required, experience with orthopedic implantable devices or plastic surgery preferred.Highly organized and has very effective time management skills.Highly customer focused.Excellent presentation skills.Strong negotiating skills and capacity.Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong listening skills.Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, as well as networks and internet applications.25 - 50% travel domestically within territory.
