Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is a member of the facility leadership team with functional responsibility for planning, purchasing, scheduling, inventory and vendor management and capacity planning.  This individual will help to drive key critical performance drivers (CPDs) such as fill rate, on-time delivery, back order, quality lot acceptance and financial metrics such as inventory turns, standard cost variances, absorption and budget. The person will represent Accellent in a professional and exemplary manner before our suppliers, employees and community at large.

Key Result Accountabilities Management responsibilities for planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory and vendor management. Driver the Sales and Operations planning process to develop mid to long range operating plans, assessing and managing the capacity planning function.  Assist in capital expenditure justification and approval. Responsible for integrating production schedules with business planning and forecasting. Balance of ERP/MRP capability with pull / lean methodology. Must be a driver of lean culture change. Responsible for inventory accuracy (raw, outside, WIP and finished goods) and cycle count programs.  Working closely with finance, maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand while meeting Accellent financial objectives. Identify, manage and support outside service providers to meet Accellent business requirements. Manage department to meet all quality and financial system requirements. Lead daily facility production meetings.  Participate on project teams as required. Responsible for the planning systems for all raw materials, internal operations, subcontract operations and outside supporting services. Creating and maintaining partnerships with key suppliers, including the implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Programs in areas such as raw materials, tooling, etc. Assist Operations in the set-up of Kanban Replenishment Systems / VMI with customers where applicable. Explore new technologies, processes, and suppliers to reduce non-value added procurement activities. Responsible for training and career development of all Supply Chain employees. Participate in the contract review of all new products / processes.

 

Job Requirements:
5+ years experience in production and inventory control responsibilities. 3-5 years of management or supervision experience. Prior exerience implementing, enhancing and maintiained Oracle ERP system is a critical requirement Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, statistical and mathematical abilities and interpersonal skills. APICS certification a plus. Experience in lean planning and operations a must. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and use of / exposure to six sigma methodology a plus.
