SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

Our opportunity is located at our Miltex site in York, PA.  Miltex, Inc., is one of the largest and most respected suppliers of hand-held surgical and dental products serving the healthcare dealer market. 

 

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the following: perform supplier audits, supplier surveillance visits, follow-up with supplier nonconformance and supplier corrective actions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Manage the approved supplier list.Assist Purchasing, Operations, and Marketing with the supplier approval process.Perform supplier site visits and periodic audits of critical suppliers, up to 50% travel.Investigate and trend customer complaints and trend repair histories of devices.Assist in the developing incoming inspection programs for new products.Assist in the creation of Purchasing and Product Specifications.Oversees the Supplier Corrective Action system.Investigate supplier non-conformances.Provide assistance to the suppliers to help strengthen their Quality Systems.Assist with shipping, sterility, and stability validations.Provide technical assistance to marketing, customer service, regulatory, and operations.Perform other required tasks as needed.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

 

· Bachelors degree, Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred

· Knowledge of FDA QSR and ISO Quality Standards

· Skilled in conducting Quality System Audits

· Ability to analyze complex issues, conducts root cause investigations, and prepares reports on findings.
