The Senior Programmer Analyst in our Business Intelligence portfolio will develop software and provide technical leadership for development efforts related to reporting, scorecarding and dashboarding of critical business data. This position requires an understanding of the software development life cycle as this individual will be responsible for improvement of processes and procedures exercised during the development life cycle. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining good working relationships with non-technical clients. This individual will represent the technical direction and assist the Applications manager with strategy and deployment tactics.    Â
·         Technical design/construction/testing/implementation (70%) and Support (30%).
o        Leading the effort to design, construct, unit test, implement and support. Software development efforts will primarily be associated with our Business Intelligence environment of Cognos.
o        Lead software construction efforts when contract staff is involved by providing work direction and adherence to AMS development standards.
o        Strength and understanding of Financial and SEC reporting will be a strong plus.
EDUCATION
·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Advanced degree is a plus.

EXPERIENCE
·         7+ years experience in designing and coding software with relevant technologies.
·         Strong working knowledge of Cognos 8 BI, planning and ETL tool sets is a must.
·         Broad understanding of the Kimball model of Data Warehousing is a plus.
·         Experience in the development to design, code, unit test, implement and support the ETL processes for data warehouse solutions and related data marts.
o        Works with Business Systems Analyst in the creation of functional and technical design specifications.
