The Position:
As an industry leader in the development and manufacturer of catheter based technologies our client has immediate needs for a talented and creative Sr. Product Development Engineer. This senior level individual will contribute their skills to the successful development to the next generation of medical device technologies which will advance the current state of healthcare treatment capabilities. As an integral member of the new product development team—you will be fully engaged in leading teams through FDA compliance issues involved with the medical device product development cycle. This broad based position will require an experience individual to apply current knowledge of medical device markets and customer requirements along with the ability to interact with physicians and other clinical medical professionals.
The successful candidate will be able to integrate with a multi-functional team in order to deliver product updates and new products through a rigorous development and product delivery process. Additional responsibilities would likely include:Ability to bring creative/innovation approach to the concept phase like working within development product design challenges.Documentation of the new product development process; i.e., define product specs, oversee product testing, evaluate product performance against QSR requirements Ability to move from concept to Design through utilization of CAD/CAM tools and protocols.Formulate and present comprehensive and cohesive project management plans to senior management in an articulate fashion. Works semi-independently on development issues, and represents the organization in the resolution of technical issues.
The Requirements:
· BS/MS engineering degree with 6-10 years of experience with demonstrable track record of product development success in medical devices.
· Well-versed in Design programs i.e. Pro-E, SolidWorks, preferably with polymer plastic based products.Experienced with Project Management concepts and programs (i.e. Project).Well-tuned to the collaboration process necessary for an efficient and effective product devolvement process.
