As a newly divested company just completing our first year, our systems are essential to our continued success. We are presently seeking qualified SAP professionals to join our team. This is a direct full time opportunity that will be located in our Lake Zurich IL corporate offices.
Senior Business Consultant
SAP/Analyst Application Specialist – SecuritySAP support specialists who are very pro-active; i.e., those who will work independently on some assignments as well as under direction on larger, more complex programs or application developments. The Specialists will work directly with users to define needs for minor system enhancements, and with a Project Lead or Manager for enhancements with significant business requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in service level agreement discussions, to ensure the guidelines set are within Security standards.
Provide information to the team regarding strategy and direction outlined by IT and provides direct line updates and project communications.
Ensure and be accountable for the quality of all Security deliverables.
Identify impacts and requirements for the business processes to support the organizations to-be vision within the R/3 and BI System.
Participate in corporate and industry interest groups that focus on SAP Security and Audit.
Project and Operational Support:
Identify and resolve security related issues and provide documentation of the resolution.
Responsible for administration of SAP Security, Segregation of Duties resolution, ID creation and maintenance, transport creation/release/move, role creations/maintenance, and organizational levels creation/maintenance, in conjunction with third party support suppliers.
Capture, track, analyze, and reports security incidents.
Identify and submit process improvements.
Establish security for development, testing, training, and production instances.
Maintain and regularly provide feedback on risks with mitigating actions.
Provide clear and accurate company wide security guidelines and data sensitivity requirements.
Requires:
Highly developed knowledge of SAP security and authorization procedures including experience restricting user access using standard object.
Work in a team environment supported by a comprehensive and structured development methodology and project plan timelines.
Work well with and through others within and outside IT.
Use discretion concerning confidential and sensitive company information.
Experience in a self-directed and a heavily matrixed environment.
Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments across several projects with accuracy and professional attitude.
Adheres to policies and procedures outlined by IT Governance.
Able to provide security architecture and design of security roles to minimize on-going maintenance and rework as projects continue.
Works independently, coordinating with functional team members and business team members to fine-tune the security roles
Able to define methods to perform positive and negative security testing on designed roles
Able to trouble-shoot, accurately, the source of security/authorization failures (not just SU53) for R/3, BI and Portal, being knowledgeable about the differences in the technologies used or the R/3 module being implemented (FI, SD,MM, etc).
Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager a distinct advantage
