Software Engineer - Medical
Summary
Develop software for use in medical devices.
Key engineering responsibility for developing modular architectures, graphical user interfaces, real-time data acquisition systems, and data/signal processing suites.
Responsibilities
Specify, design, code, and test software for medical monitoring products
Convert experimental methods into real-time signal processing and data analysis algorithms
Implement graphical user interfaces
Verify and validate all software modules and components for performance and safety per FDA design control procedures
Prepare documentation for all software modules and components; develop user instructions
As appropriate, prepare technical reports, patents, and publications
Education/Experience
BS degree is Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree
3+ years of software R&D experience (or MS and 2+ years)
Experience with Matlab, Simulink, and real-time operating systems; data acquisition
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Desired Experience
Expertise in C/C++ (MFC), C# (Windows Forms), Visual Studio. Working knowledge or Java, ASP .NET/Silverlight/AJAX a plus
Solid experience in real-time, multi-threaded application development
Working knowledge of Bluetooth and USB programming a plus
Solid experience in software development, verification and validation techniques, and software configuration control methods
Experienced with systems integration of off-the-shelf and custom instrumentation
System Administration experience a plus
