Senior SOX/Business Process Analyst

At ev3 we’re committed to developing innovative endovascular technologies for coronary, peripheral and neurological applications. Creative, competent people with a passion for enhancing healthcare around the globe have driven our success. Join us as we grow by making a meaningful difference.    We are currently seeking a Senior SOX / Business Process Analyst.  This is a challenging position in the Corporate Finance group of a fast growing, global medical device manufacturer. This position coordinates closely with outside resources to assess internal controls over financial reporting as part of ev3’s ongoing Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts. In addition, the position will work closely with business process owners across all functions to implement improvements to existing processes. The position requires the ability to interact effectively with financial and operational people across the company. RESPONSIBILITIES: ·  Work closely with process owners to effectively evaluate the risks of financial misstatement and design of controls over financial reporting. Identify, recommend and implement meaningful changes. ·  Proactively identify gaps, conflicts and improvements in existing processes; work closely with business process owners across all functions to develop and implement scalable solutions. ·  Monitor and review changes to process documentation (process narratives and risk control matrices). ·  Assist in planning and performing audits of strategically significant areas of the business leading to meaningful recommendations for improvement. ·  Assist with compliance planning, control testing, walkthroughs and developing and updating process documentation. ·  Educate and train business owners on Sox requirements and implementation ·  Perform special investigative projects at the request of management. ·  Assist operating groups, as assigned, with financial, transaction and business analysis. ·  Assist with monthly closing procedures, as assigned. ·  Respond to requests from other areas within the company regarding financial information and assist in their understanding of the financial information presented. ·  Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards and the ev3 Code of Conduct. ·  Other duties as assigned or required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. ·  CPA or MBA preferred. ·  Three to six years of industry or public accounting experience with prior SOX experience. ·  General understanding of business processes and control environments. ·  Strong written and verbal communication skills. ·  Strong analytical and research skills, detail-oriented. ·  Strong computer skills (word, excel, powerpoint). · Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. · Up to 20% travel may be required.Job Code : 794 Division/Department : CARDI Travel Required : None
