Senior R&D Engineer
Urovalve, Inc. is an early stage company developing superior medical devices that address problems with urinary control and flow. We are seeking highly motivated, energetic people to work in an exciting, fast paced environment. Located in northern NJ, the company is hiring the following position:
Senior R&D Engineer
Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering and Development, the Senior R&D Engineer will be fully responsible for broad categories of work within the development portfolio. This includes designing devices and/or sub-assemblies, choosing vendors, building prototypes, creating and executing test plans, verifying and validating results, and other tasks as needed to bring world class, innovative products to market.
Responsibilities:
Design -- understand and refine design inputs, meet the inputs, select and test the optimal solutions Planning -- determine and then adhere to development timelines Problem Solving -- apply high levels of creativity and innovation Results orientation -- create value for the company by meeting goals Communication -- interact effectively with vendors, co-workers, etc. both orally and in writing; document development activities in accordance with procedures; create procedures as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent 8+ years experience in medical device or closely related industry. Familiarity with design control practices, 510(k) requirements, and related regulations. SolidWorks experience preferred
