Senior Brand Manager

Job Summary – Responsible for the development of overall marketing programs for assigned product(s).  Coordinates the development of sales objectives, strategies, and advertising and promotional programs and ensures the execution of these programs.  Gathers new product ideas and evaluates their potential and their practicality.General Functions 1. Develop and execute effective new product development strategies and product introductions, including pricing, promotion, positioning, and distribution. 2. Develop and execute effective marketing strategies which promote existing products and ensure successful launches of new products (i.e., pricing, packaging, marketing support literature). 3. Analyze market trends and potentials.  Provide input to operations for use in preparing forecasts and controlling inventory levels.  Manage and monitor obsolete products lines effectively. 4. Oversee the monitoring of daily product line sales and availability.  Develop promotions as needed to ensure successful sales movement of product. 5. Manage continual new and current product viability analyses.  Present conclusions and recommendations to upper management.  Manage deletion of existing products.  Responsible for annual development of marketing plan for brand lines.  Ongoing implementation, analysis, and ROI. 6. Maintain contact with sales force, international distributors, and key clinical advisors to gain  input on new and current product lines and to keep informed of their needs. 7. Make recommendations and manage field-testing of new products to determine customer acceptance. 8. Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product(s).  Make recommendations as appropriate. 9. Evaluate ideas and suggestions for new products, investigate market opportunities and effect on market for present products, and recommend exploitation of economically attractive products. 10. Recommend criteria for testing newly developed products, review test results and recommend necessary alteration of testing or product.  Assist in preparation of claims submitted to the FDA for new products. 11. Assist in the preparation of collateral material, advertising, direct mail, media, and marketing support literature. 12. Develop and implement market research projects for assigned product(s). 13. Develop, monitor, maintain, and allocate the Product Management department budget to ensure cost effective use of funds. 14. Oversee all field force, international distributor, and customer service communication efforts.  Respond to and solicit input.  Ensure that these groups are notified of all product activity, new programs, competitive updates, etc. 15. Serve as Product Management representative on Product Development Teams as assigned.  Provide input, gather information, and report to team leader as appropriate.This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA Education Requirements – B.S./B.A. in marketing, business, or relate discipline, or equivalent work experience.Skill Requirements – Five years of marketing experience in a FDA regulated manufacturing environment.  Field sales experience and MBA desirable.  Familiarity with dental industry helpfulTravel Requirements – Overnight travel is occasionally required.Education: BachelorsJob Level: 6 - 7 yearsPercent Travel: 1-10%
