SR R&D STENT ENGINEER

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior R&D engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of new products. The selected individual must have experience in the design of stents and/or nitinol processing development and stent/catheter test method development. Strong design (DOE) and scientific methodology is required as well as excellent mechanical and problem solving abilities. Candidates must also have experience in finite element analysis. Ideal candidate must also have good aptitude for creative thinking within a multi-disciplinary team. The candidate should also have demonstrated successful leadership of cross functional product development teams from concept to launch.
The position requires good interpersonal, oral and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to function independently and effectively. This individual will interact with physicians and outside vendors. Knowledge of FDA, ISO guidelines and compliance requirements are necessary. Previous development experience of endovascular devices and knowledge of endovascular therapies preferred. Experience with CAD applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or ProEngineer) preferred.
Requirements include BS in Mechanical or Materials Engineering and 5 years of related engineering/medical device experience or MS with a minimum of 3 years or PhD with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
