Quality Technician, Quality Engineer & Manufacturing Engineer Lead (JM)

This client is in the medical products industry located in Indianapolis, IN.  Looking for three (3) individuals at this time. Search No. 1: Quality Technician Responsible to support the manufacture of medical/surgical instruments, and also responsible for translating customer requirements into effective inspection criteria to be deployed by machine operators for the assurance of quality and delivering zero defects to the next process and customer. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in quality with previous experience with CMM, optical measuring equipment, and metrology applied in machining applications. Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T to include principles of quality engineering required. Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred. CQT strongly preferred.  Education: HS diploma or equivalent but client prefers a two year associates degree from a technical college/college.  Working knowledge of statistical analysis and methods required. Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience as a Quality technician in a medical and/or other similar type of industry process. Proficient in the use of various test equipment such as CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, pin gages, etc. Must attain Certified Inspector Level II status within reasonable timeframe per Quality Manager. Search No. 2: Manufacturing Engineering Lead Supervises manufacturing engineering to assure that manufacturing processes and methods will satisfy requirements of producing to customer expectations.  Responsible for developing solutions to production and prototype problems relating to materials, processes,maching and toolilng. Supports new programs by developing new processes and assisting with the designing of tooling and machinery and development or production controls.  Support ongoing production orders through floor support and technical troubleshooting. Requirements are: High school diploma or equivalent required.  Two years post secondary education or equivalent experience in the medical manufacturing field. Previous programming experience required.  Master CAM programming experience a plus. An understanding of 3D CAM software and associated machine interfaces. Requires knowledge of manufacturing including estimating, methods, processes, work standards, facilities, tooling, productability and quality. Must possess knowledge of production program planning techniques and be competent in the management of resources to meet customer delivery requirements. Solid leadership--supervisory/manager level to manage up to 10 direct reports here. Search No. 3--Quality Engineer Responsible for meeting customer requirements for the manufacturing of surgical/medical instruments from receiving raw materials through to the shipping of finished goods. Supports the development of and enforces internal systems and procedures to meet ISO standards and FDA quality system regulations. Develops and implements inspection/validation techniques necessary to verify that products meet requirements at the earliest point in the production process. Specifies and implements new inspection equipment and instructs others in its proper use. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years experience with CMM and optical measuring equipment in machining applications and a working knowledge of short run process control methods, DOE, ISO standards, and FDA quality system regulations.  Previous medical/surgical device industry experience preferred. Four year degree in engineering and professional quality certifications.  Leadership--supervisory/team lead--supervise up to 5 direct reports.
