Position Description:We are currently seeking a QC Laboratory Associate II for 1st shift, Sat. - Wed.Job Purpose:The QC Laboratory Associate II is responsible for fulfilling the needs of the Quality Control Departments requirements for analytical testing in the chemical or biological area, examination of product, components and performing equipment and process validations. The QC Laboratory Associate II is responsible for performing independent tasks of greater complexity with some guidance from the higher-level positions, demonstrate moderate problem solving skills. The position is also responsible for the laboratory daily organizational duties.Essential Functions:1. Perform ALL laboratory testing related to product release in accordance with FDA and ISO guidelines. The tasks cover Microbiology Department for this job title. Hands on experience in Tissue Culture techniques and Cytotoxicity testing, GC, FT-IR, and chemistry laboratory experience. Impact: Ensure that product is safe and effective.2. Perform all activities required for the execution of the laboratory test methods in all pertinent areas. Impact: Ensure adherence to the GLP's regulations.3. Perform sterility testing for the Microbiology Lab if assigned to that area. Impact: Ensure adherence to USP and FDA guidelines for sterility testing.4 Maintain laboratory equipment cleaning and servicing, as well as inventory of supplies. Impact: Ensure adherence to QSR, ISO, department and company policies.5. Validate laboratory test methods and equipment (IQ/OQ/ and PQ) to support GLP and QSR requirements. Impact: Ensure compliance to FDA regulations.To be qualified for this position, candidates must possess:Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry from a four year college or university or three to four years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
