Project Engineer for Class III Med Device Company
Job DescriptionThis is an opportunity to drive multiple projects for a Class III medical device company based in Texas. Some international travel and UStravel required. 15% (most of it out to the site at that type) Projects have Very short time lines on the front end, (3 months). You will be involved with verification studies to get products to the clinical trial stage. You will be empowered to do what is needed to projects done. As a project engineer, you must have a clear focus and be able to leverage outside resources.You will help build defendable packets to the FDA, so IDEs, PMA and 510K experience preferred. You will be able to manager the entire process including all the deliverables through to the IDE. After the Clinical Trials: There is a validation component; did we make the right device? Post market: 6 month to 2 yr review. Any changes that need to get done we drive. Requirements:Only degreed engineers with 5+ years of experience and project management experience will be considered. First 30-60days on the job:First 30 days - orientation. You will visit Doctor’s office and suites. Next 60 days we have 2 projects that are line extensions, simple design changes, to learn SOPs. Gloves come off after that. Our facility needs help with design controls. There are also some basic research studies. Are you up for the challenge? There will be the team under the hiring manager that you would meet as well as the Key players: Director of Research on polymer chemical side as we help support his activities. Ideal candidate will have experience with Implants, Polymers chemistry, product lifestyle.
