Project Coordinator - Surgical Instruments
The Project Coordinator works within the Custom Engineering Group in the Prototype Machine Shop. This position assists the Product Manager in support of the flow of Custom Engineering Group requests. The core duties are providing a direct interface to Product Development by receiving incoming surgical instrument design requests, confirming specifications and requirements, gathering needed information, documenting completed requests and shipping completed products to end user. The person needs to have strong self-starting qualities to independently manage coordination of multiple projects to ensure timely completion of product development and delivery. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, communication, organizational, flexibility and maturity.Responsibilities Receive incoming requests for custom instruments Document and submit shop work order form for manufacture of custom instruments Assist with inventory management Communicate with other departments as necessary to provide work updates and obtain needed information Document completed instrument request, ensure required paperwork is completed, is accurate and maintained on file Ship completed instrument to requestor Provide monthly custom order reports Participation to ensure that shop is run consistent with in-house quality system Qualifications 3+ years work experience; prefer in a manufacturing or related field. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word. High school diploma required. Project management skills. Strong attention to detail and self- starting and self-motivated skills/ability. Must be fully capable of quality work with little or no supervision. Ability to function well in fast paced environment. Multi-tasking abilities required for successful job completion. Well organized, good communicator and team player capable of meeting deadlines. Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
