Title: Programmer/Analyst, Sr.FLSA:ExemptReports to:Dir, ITLevel:Z11Job Family:ProfessionalBusiness Unit:Info TechJob Summary –Performs all phases of systems development activities including requirements definition, analysis, developing program/specifications, coding, testing, and maintenance for projects.  General Functions –§ Provides leadership for project plans for small to intermediate projects, performing the work defined by the project plan (e.g. gathering user requirements, performing programming and testing tasks), monitoring progress on all assigned projects, and communicating project process and/or problems to manager on a timely basis.§ Stays abreast of relevant technologies and business processes and provides input to the development and implementation of a global IM strategy.§ Provides consulting services and technical support to Zimmer employees, both domestic and international, Zimmer Field Sales offices, and other IM personnel.§ Minimizes application development requests by appropriately using JD Edwards, GIW and development tools to meet client needs.§ Demonstrates strong skills in communicating technical ideas to non-technical clients as well as peers in IM.§ Provides appropriate System Development Life Cycle testing and documentation. § Responsible for on-call support of assigned systems. This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs) –§ Communicates clearly and concisely both verbal and written.  Writes technical reports and manuals.  Demonstrates skills in communicating technical ideas to non-technical clients as well as peers in IT.§ Stays abreast of relevant technologies and business processes.§ Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels.§ Facilitates team efforts on projects.§ Ability to work within a team oriented environment including the flexibility to adjust hours for proper departmental coverage (vacations, illness, etc.). Education Requirements – B.S. degree in computer science, (or related field).  Skill Requirements – Possess 4-5 years experience in SAP ABAP programming and analysis. Experience preferred in the following SAP modules; Human Resources (HCM), Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM). Experience in two or more major skill sets in areas such as Client Server, Mainframe, Web, and the ability to develop applications in a Window environment is a plus.   Licenses/Certifications – N/ATravel Requirements – 10% - 15% Education: BachelorsJob Level: 3 - 5 yearsPercent Travel: 1-10%
