We are currently seeking a Principal Process Development Engineer to lead the development of manufacturing processes and equipment technologies to enable high-quality manufacturing. Requires an understanding of process development techniques, quality control systems, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Successful candidates must exhibit the ability to independently pursue tasks, lead the development of new manufacturing technologies and robust manufacturing processes, and have an affinity for mentoring others.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead the innovation and development of new process technologies, working with product from beginning to end.
· Manage projects, motivate others, and work effectively on cross-functional teams.
·Lead teams in problem solving and technology development and reducing costs.
· Create new technical competencies
· Work in a dynamic project team environment
· Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards and the ev3 Code of Conduct.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
· BS degree in Material Science, Engineering.
· Post Graduate degree in Material Science or Engineering with mechanical or materials processing emphasis is desired.
Experience:
· 7+ years total experience in R&D, Process Development, or Manufacturing in an Engineering related role
· Previous experience developing high quality, high reliability manufacturing processes.
· Experience working in a regulated industry a plus.
· Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferred.
· DOD, DOE, Aerospace, etc…experience will be considered.
· Proficient in design and process FMECA, Process Validation and variability reduction applications.
· Application of statistical and analytical methods such as SPC, SQC, and DOE.
· Process background (development, capability, optimization, validation) within a regulated industry.
· Development and execution of test protocols to qualify new tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
· Project management associated with new process/product development and the successful transfer into manufacturing.
· Prior cross-functional experience in R&D is a plus.
· Coating process experience or Materials Engineering experience preferred.
