About the Opportunity: Primary local site-specific owner of supply and scheduling. Acts as conduit between MRP output and on-hand supply of goods and services. Expedites and de-expedites material flow to meet schedule requirements. Represent Accellent in a professional and exemplary manner before our suppliers, employees and community at large.

Key Result Accountabilities

• Obtains output form master schedule and MRP to develop production schedules and meet customer due dates. • Manage material flow in facility and through vendors who perform outside processing. • Schedules individual machines and work centers and issues a dispatch lit to work centers/cells. • Provide data for reporting and analysis as required to meet performance metrics. • Check and verify availability of material and available capacity internally and at vendors. • Rout work to minimize machine time and set-ups and achieve desires throughput goals as defined in the performance metrics. • Provides up to date documentation for shop packages and outside services. • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. • Monitor raw materials, purchased, and manufactured parts and components. • Scheduling of sub-assemblies and complete units to meet specified shipping dates. • Authorize manufacturing orders and issues travelers to shop floor. • Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures. • Complete all job specific required training. • Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics. • Represent Accellent in a professional and exemplary manner before our suppliers, employees and community at large. • Comply with all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility. • Conduct production-planning meetings and communicate issues/concerns to senior mgt. • Communicate customer due date changes to DCS, CSM and directly to customer as required



Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and/or three to five years Purchasing/Planning background. • Manufacturing buying experience preferred N.A.P.M. or APICS certification a plus. • Needs to be familiar with computer based planning and scheduling systems. • This position requires a comfort in dealing with a wide variety of associates at all levels. • Good verbal communication skills need to be in evidence. • Must be capable of assimilating Accellent systems and procedures quickly. • Able to work in a fast pace changing environment. • Good understanding of machine and work center workloads. • Ability to coordinate internal and external vendor services and customer needs. • The ability to recognize the need to send work outside with cost justification. • Must have 2 years experience with MS Word and Excel • Ability to develop periodic status reports to keep the Director of Operation and teams informed. • Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures. • Complete all job specific required training. • Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics. • Comply to all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility. • Experience in a machine shop environment a plus.
