Due to outstanding growth and continued success, Hoveround is looking for an individual to join our team of professionals as a Medical Records Auditor.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

To scans medical records and service orders Organizes chart documents and audit completeness and accuracy prior to billing. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

4.      Contacts physicians’ offices by telephone to follow up on required paperwork.

5.      Composes memos and/or letters to physicians’ offices.

8.      Sends Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN’s) to physician offices.

11.  Organizes tasks to ensure timely completion of all projects.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience/Technical Requirements

1.      4-6 years of clerical experience, preferably in a medical environment

2.      Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carrier billing.

3.      Familiarity with ICD9 codes and knowledge of medical terminology

4.      Strong organizational and time management skills

5.      Computer literacy in a Windows environment, with an emphasis on data entry skills
