Marketing Director/Medical Device/Cardio  SUMMARY: My client is breaking new ground in cardio diagnostics. Due to growth, they are expanding and adding a new marketing position to direct and oversee all aspects of marketing. This is a ground floor opportunity for an individual who is a Senior Manager looking to move into a Director role. The successful individual will be a self starter who can understand the challenges and opportunities and turn them into action items. Working with guidance from the senior staff and given the autonomy to move ahead, this position will grow into a key role in the company.  If you are a confident marketing professional ready to make a move that will impact the company and your career, read on! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Director of Marketing is responsible for the existing product portfolio, new product development, pricing, go-to –market strategies and marketing communications.  Develop strategies and activities to align marketing activities around customer/market segments. Drive market segmentation, target identification and prioritization across customer/market segments. Drive the development of the product roadmap working with all functional areas including engineering, sales, finance and operations. Working with the sales force, lead the development of product positioning and price targets. Manage the Marketing Communication activities including: Coordinates the creation and production of sales and marketing collateral. Coordinates advertising schedules and placement as needed. Tracks, collates, and maintains inventory of marketing materials. Maintains customer database and generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for direct marketing projects. Assists in the implementation of a Customer Relations Management tool (CRM). Compiles and produces sales and marketing reports, including the lead tracking report. Coordinates trade show exhibits, including travel arrangements, participation in trade shows, as well as supervision of booth assembly. Plans all details of symposia, including invitations, speakers, catering, AV equipment, and location. Supports sales representatives as necessary. (Primarily US based.) QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  Bachelor’s Degree (marketing preferred) Medical Device or Diagnostics Marketing Communications Experience required. Cardiology experience/background preferred. Strong computer skills with the knowledge of software systems such as Microsoft Office and the Internet. Strong communication, writing and organizational skills. Ability to lead, influence and inspire others without a direct reporting relationship. Ability to multi-task, paying close attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
