Still River Systems is building the Monarch 250â„¢ Proton Beam Radiation Therapy System, a practical, cost-efficient, single-room PBRT system scaled for use at most cancer centers. Designed using state of the art engineering techniques and materials, the heart of the Monarch 250â„¢ System is a compact, superconducting high field magnet which directs a proton beam toward a precisely defined isocenter.

Included in the Monarch 250â„¢ PBRT System is a cyclotron, the proton beam delivery system, a treatment couch with pendant control, a radiographic patient positioning system, proton beam treatment planning, and a link to a treatment record and verify system.

Mechanical Technician

 Still River Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician. This position will support engineering in the building and testing of various components and sub-assemblies.

 

Job Responsibilities:Build and test mechanical assembliesProvide controlled documentation of assembly procedures.Provide controlled documentation of component alterations to update as-built drawings and diagrams.Specify and assist in acquisition of tools and equipment necessary to conduct all operations in the SRS assembly plant





 

Qualifications:

 Successful candidates will have:

· Technical diploma or five years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to work under limited supervision

· Skilled with the use of power and hand tools

· Proficient in reading technical prints

· Capable of documenting assembly processes

· Familiar with the use of rigging equipment including forklifts, hoists, etc.

·  Familiarity with high vacuum, RF or cryogenics is desirable.
