My client is a global powerhouse in electronics and electrical engineering, operating in the industry, energy and healthcare sectors. The company has around 400,000 employees (in continuing operations) working to develop and manufacture products, design and install complex systems and projects, and tailor a wide range of solutions for individual requirements.Associate Mechanical Designer- Succasunna, NJ- 29887 Summary:This candidate will provide mechanical and engineering support in conceptual and practical development of instrumentation and clinical analyzers used in hospital and laboratory applications. He/She will assist in the development of small precision mechanisms and drives utilizing stepper motors and/or DC motors. They will prepare clear, complete and accurate detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches, change orders or notes. Responsibilities: Work with others to develop high quality designs that meet or exceed design requirements. Analyzes simple engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Create layouts of mechanisms. Compute angles, weights, surface area, radii, leverages, gear ratios and simple tolerance analysis. Confers with other to clarify or resolve problems and confirm design concepts. Design for standard manufacturing or processing methods. Design simple mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies under supervision. Incorporate change order requests into drawings and bills of materials. Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to document, formulate and test mechanical designs. (Pro E and Solid CAD knowledge preferred).
