Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift)

At ev3 we’re committed to developing innovative endovascular technologies for coronary, peripheral and neurological applications. Creative, competent people with a passion for enhancing healthcare around the globe have driven our success. Join us as we grow by making a meaningful difference.    We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift).  This position is responsible for assisting with the implementation and testing of all manufacturing documents protocols and reports, support production issues, implement and qualify production equipment, assist with equipment maintenance and support other areas of manufacturing as necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

This position is located at our manufacturing facility in Plymouth, MN.

  · Create protocols and reports on processes or equipment. · Address any production equipment break down immediately. · Work with Calibration department to calibrate crucial components. · Assist with the assembly, wiring, and implementation processes associated with equipment. · Coordinate custom part making with the shop. · Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment. · Create or update manufacturing procedures as needed. · Write and update Equipment Standards used for maintaining our equipment. · Order / reorder equipment components. · Work on production lines to help identify bottle neck or issues that may lead to back order issues. · Work with production staffing to help improve fixturing needs and address any concerns. · Create processes or equipment on responsible lines that will help with manufacturing. · Assist with any necessary department responsibilities. · Perform all duties of this position in accordance with any applicable GMP/ISO standards. · Follow established safety procedures and perform duties in a safe manner. · Assist and write protocols, reports, and ECO’s to satisfy our internal requirements. · Assist and write installation and operation qualifications. · Train production personnel with simple maintenance that will be incorporated into their Manufacturing Procedures. · Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards and the ev3 Code of Conduct. · Other duties as assigned or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education:  · High School diploma and 4 years experience or Technical degree in electronics, automation, mechanical fabrication and 2 years experience in related disciplines.   Experience:  · Knowledge of the ECO system. · Medical device experience and ISO/GMP training an advantage. · Knowledge of Microsoft based computer software programs. · Good communication skills.
