Manager, CVD Operations

Job Summary –Provides leadership for production employees towards the manufacturing of TM materials. Manages production processes to achieve key objectives. Leads productivity and quality improvement initiatives and looks for opportunities to reduce cost.General Functions –· Lead, manage, and communicate effectively.· Complete operational management responsibility of the TM facility including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, production, quality and health and safety.· Provide management oversight for all operation activities towards the production and on-time delivery of Trabecular Metal devices.· Maintain quality, GMP, production, safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with company goals and objectives.· Coordinate the procurement of equipment supplies as well as contracted services within budgeted expenses.· Facilitate successful internal/external audits and customer or surgeon visits.· Identify employee-training needs and assist in the development of skills for assigned personnel. Complete performance evaluations for all direct reportees.· Complete cycle counts and maintain/manage proper inventory levels for both indirect and direct supplies/material.· Interface with Product Development, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering for successful introduction of new products.This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADAExpected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs) – § Experience with manufacturing technologies used in the orthopaedic implant industry is preferred.§ Experience guiding and implementing change initiatives that produce greater level of innovation, quality, service, efficiency, and learning.§ Demonstrated ability to partner with logistics, sourcing, R&D and other internal functions with proven record of successful negotiations and problem resolutions.§ Ability to effectively lead a team in the achievement of objectives. Education Requirements – A bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred; Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising direct labor in a manufacturing environment and maintaining positive employee relations.Skill Requirements –Must be proficient and have experience with the following areas: manufacturing management and people development; budgeting for multiple profit centers; development of quality/productivity plans; new product process development; manufacturing flow analysis and implementation. Excellent written and oral communication and problem solving skills are essential.
