We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education or background in production planning  and a desire to work  for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a ''roll-up your sleeves'' attitude.   Job Responsibilities include: * Runs and works forecast exception reports * Using reports and analysis, calls sales reps for information about new usage, change usage, and lost business.  Follow up to make sure DED's are managed correctly * Using reports and analysis, call sales reps on spikes to see if they are one-time or recurring usage.  Ensures demand planning system is set appropriately based on the sales rep feedback * Works with divisions on promotional and new item forecasting * Works directly with Inv Mgmt personnel to ensure communication about demand changes is quickly communicated so appropriate supply actions are taken * Recommends, develops, creates and implements standard reporting for routine business reports * Defines exception reporting to identify error and out of bounds conditions * Monitors for data accuracy, timeliness and integrity in data used in analysis and reporting.  Communicates to appropriate personnel if data inaccuracies exist * Other project duties as assigned In return, Medline offers a business casual, entrepreneurial work environment with strong growth potential; a competitive compensation package; along with a complete benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life insurance; education assistance; 401(k) with company match and much more!   The required skills for this position are: * Bachelors degree required * Must have above-average mathematical aptitude; including a working knowledge of business statistics * Must know or be able to develop quickly database skills such as Microsoft Access * Must possess superior communication and follow-up skills * Must have superior attention to detail * 1 year of experience production planning, buying, or forecasting in a high-volume environment.
