If you are interested, please send resume as a WORD attachment to tgertsman@sjm.com.  Job Summary:Exercising considerable judgment and latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments creates, develops and mentors the execution of marketing strategies and tactics for critically significant product(s)/product lines for the purpose of optimizing profit and meeting marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. Identifies and develops new product line extensions that complement and add value to existing products. Maintains an influential role as liaison across organizational lines to maintain and strengthen long-term internal and external relationships. Troubleshoots complex problems. Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. Uses best business practices to ensure success in areas of responsibility. Ensures employee compliance with St. Jude Medical/CRMD policies and practices. Maintains a safe working environment and a strong customer focus Requirements/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Nursing, a related field, or equivalent. Typically a minimum of ten plus years of progressively more responsible product marketing experience in the Cardiac medical device or a related industry. A comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices is also required, as well as pertinent coursework and/or understanding of human physiology. Requirements include an in-depth knowledge of and experience with: the principles of marketing medical device products and cardiac rhythm management; customers, trends, governmental factors and emerging technologies; clinical research requirements; the principles of working with R&D project teams; technical development requirements; the cardiac pacing and defibrillation device segment in the hospital and physician setting of the U.S. medical device market; principles of advertising and promotion; and, cardiac pacing, defibrillation and therapeutic products. Must have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, medical groups, Field Clinical Engineers, and sales representatives. Must also be able to handle multiple assignments. Must be able to perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment. Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable U. S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, and tasks. Must be able to work cooperatively and productively with others. Demonstrated verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential. Demonstrated personal computer skills and the ability to perform word processing/spreadsheet tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities are required. This job may require up to approximately 30% travel or more.Desired Requirements: An advanced credential in a relevant discipline/concentration, such as an MBA. Professional certification or designation. Leadership skills/experience sufficient to assume the responsibilities of this management position, including the ability to map task interdependencies, multi-task, prioritize such tasks, meet deadlines, and develop, monitor and live within budgets as well as the demonstrated ability to delegate, follow-up. Build effective teams, and forecast major milestones are also desired.
