Position: Engineering Technician

Department: Process Engineering

Summarize the primary function of the position:

Support Process Engineering personnel on departmental project needs.

Describe the major elements of the position in order of importance:

Assist with the improvement of processes from feasibility testing to process implementation.

Execute process capability studies and assist with the development of new processes.

Generate documentation such as operating procedures, work instructions, change control forms, validation protocols, drawing revisions, and other similar items.

Contact vendors and makes purchases for projects or other departmental needs.

Enter clean room periodically to provide training and audit processes.

Perform additional duties as assigned, such as ordering departmental supplies, addressing departmental non-conformances (NCRs), donor tissue preparation for studies, and participation at team meetings.

May perform maintenance tasks on machinery and toolkits

Job Qualifications (education, certification, experience, knowledge, skills, physical requirements)

High school degree plus college coursework in engineering.

Minimum four years experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, use of measurement devices (micrometer, calipers, comparator).

Proficiency in CAD is a plus. Solid modeling preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
