More information can be found at www.covidien.com The Senior Research Engineer will be expected to conceive, develop, and initiate research projects, experiments, or investigations related to energy and tissue interaction; disseminate findings and commercial implications of research through scientific publication, conferences, and internal reports. They will also be expected to participate as a high-level contributor, function as a member or leader of cross-functional teams, and may supervise a small number of engineers or technicians. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field. Masters degree is preferred. At least 6 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years experience of the medical device industry. Project leadership experience. Research experience of energy and tissue interactions. Experience planning, conducting and evaluating experiments using good statistical methods. Strong written and oral communication skills.
