Director, Sales & Marketing

Prescient Medical, Inc. is an interventional cardiology company founded to reduce deaths from heart attacks through the treatment and prevention of atherosclerotic plaque rupture believed to cause up to 85% of all events.  In the US and Europe, heart attacks cause nearly 1.4 million deaths and are the major cause of death in Japan and other developed countries.  Since our inception, we have developed technologies most suited to addressing this enormous unmet clinical need.  Our unique and complementary products include an intravascular luminal shield, which we call our vProtect™ Luminal Shield, and a diagnostic catheter system capable of analyzing and quantifying the chemical composition of arterial plaques and assessing their vulnerability to rupture, which we call our vPredict™ Optical Catheter System.  The position will report to the General Manager and is located in Doylestown, PA, with the intent to consolidate facilities in the central NJ area.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

·          Provide leadership and clear vision for the successful commercialization and launch of the company’s cardiovascular products and devices

·          Review and revise business development, marketing, and sales strategies in order to meet corporate objectives

·          Establish strategic partnerships, negotiate and sign licensing and development agreements

·          Develop and implement international distribution strategy

·          Build the sales & marketing organizations - recruit, train and manage sales & marketing staff

·          Develop and update short and long term marketing and sales forecasts

·          Evaluate effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts and provide feedback and direction to executive management and staff, as required

·          Develop branding strategy, trademarks, logos and tag lines for the divisions

·          Perform strategic analysis of competitive technologies, develop marketing plans, analyze clinical and regulatory issues, and provide periodic updates of the market situation on a scheduled and as needed basis

·          Build and manage key relationships at scientific and clinical meetings on behalf of PMI

·          Develop and implement sales processes, reporting systems, training and educational programs

·          Work in conjunction with other senior management staff to develop and implement processes, procedures and organizational structures

·          Develop and execute advertising and public relation strategies; negotiate supplier contracts

·          Participate on cross-functional teams

·          Budget development and management

 

Position Requirements:

 

·          BA/BS in Marketing or related field, with MBA strongly preferred

·          Medical device experience required, preferably in interventional cardiology

·          10+ years in positions of progressive responsibility within healthcare in sales and marketing

·          Demonstrated experience in successful launch of cardiovascular devices and products in both the US and international markets

·          Strategic thinker with strong negotiating skills

·          Excellent presentation skills

·          Team builder – exceptional experience in the management and development of personnel

·          Must have professional, clear oral and written communication skills

·          Travel a minimum of 30%

·          Ability to use PC and required software, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Project and web search engines
