Design Drafter

   JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE:Design - Drafter DEPARTMENT (Name and Number):R&D 4711FLSA/LABOR CODE:  Exempt  X  Non-Exempt  ‘Hourly ‘  Direct Labor ‘ Indirect Labor ‘ REPORT TO:  DIVISION/LOCATION:Southborough JOB CODE/EEO CODE/JOB GRADE (To be completed by HR)  PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose for position)  To assist product development team.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List of 8 – 10 key tasks required of the job which occupy greater than 5% of the incumbents time) Â· Assist in designing of new products and improvements of current designs utilizing various CAD/CAM programs. Â· Perform design analysis (tolerance stack-ups), risk analysis. Â· Creating detailed and assembly drawings. Â· Creating documentation release packages. Â· Some Interfacing with vendors for component and process design.   - All Other Essential Duties as directed SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES (IF ANY) – Optional section (List of subordinate jobs for which this job has direct hire/discipline/budget responsibility)     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
