Data Security Officer

Position Description:

The Data Security Officer will report to the overall IT operational and infrastructure lead and direct and implement the necessary controls and procedures to cost effectively protect Information Systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.

Position Requirements:

Strong data stewardship experience managing firewalls, virus protection, and of user access.  Ability to provide technical data and reports to superiors regarding effectiveness of Access Security, and make recommendations for the adoption of new procedures as required. Full understanding of SAS70, SOX and HIPAA . Compliance in regards to Logical Security Controls. Extensive knowledge of Application Access Security.  Complete understanding of Reconciliation and Recertification procedures and ability to fully lead an effort to document such practices.  

Thorough understanding of:o Issues surrounding Authentication and Authorization o Identity Management o User Provisioning o Managed Access Strong knowledge of critical Information Security concepts including o Role Based Access Control RBAC o Regulatory Requirements HIPAA, CMS, SOX, et al.

Undergraduate degree required and 3 plus years Data Security Access Administration experience.  Project Management and or Program Management experience arising from leading long term engagements with multiple constituents.  Extensive, verifiable experience as an Information Security professional.  Knowledge of Access Control and Provisioning tools.  Ability to develop Role Based Access Control RBAC.  Extensive experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word,and PowerPoint.  One or more security certifications such as CISSP, CISA CISM preferred, but not required.
