Credentialing Coordinator in Medical Nonprofit needed IMMEDIATELY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Performs technical aspects of the medical staff credentialing process, including accurately inputting data into the HRIS database.

·  Processes credentialing applications by conducting primary source verification of education/training, experience, and licensure.

·  Provides clear and concise written and verbal communication with Medical Services Department, Chief Medical Officer and Clinic Staff.

·  Maintains a timely and accurate reminder system and produces and distributes reports as needed.

·  Using the HRIS and/or other databases, records credentialing and other information in employee records.

·  Assists in other human resource activities to include but not limited to, responding to questions, processing forms and materials relating to credentialing and employment.

·  Coordinates with health plans with whom PPGG contracts (e.g. Alameda Alliance, HPSM, Blue Cross)  to insure that plans receive timely credentialing and recredentialing information as requested.

·  Maintains and updates the contents of employee files.

·  Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons, as directed.
