Division: Atrial Fibrillation Division (AFD) Location: St Paul, MN 55117 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Manufacturing/Production/Operations Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Career Level:Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Company:St. Jude Medical Commodity Manager Commodity ManagerEssential Functions: Implement sourcing strategies to support division objectives, providing the division competitive advantage in the areas of materials, supplies, and services.Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs.Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement. This includes driving continuous improvements with the division supplier base.Negotiate and manage all contracts and agreements for assigned commodities. Manage suppliers, cost, quality, and delivery performance. Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities.Develop cross-functional teams to understand division-wide needs and evaluate suppliers.Qualifications: At a minimum 5+ years of progressive procurement experience.  Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes. 2-4 years materials or manufacturing experience. Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred. BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Management or equivalent. (APICS). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
