-Provide guidance to product software development teams as to the required deliverables to ensure compliance throughout software development cycle.-Provide guidance on design control and software standards to the development teams.-Review, assess and approve software design milestones and deliverables throughout software development cycle to ensure compliance.-Participate in development of software specifications including definition of user needs.-Develop test strategies and test scripts, participate in software verification and validation tests.-Generate metrics for assessing software quality and evaluate results.-Participate in critical analysis, design, and change review meetings.-Assist engineers/operational quality/compliance representatives to identify compliance/quality risks during the software development cycle. -Contribute to process improvements by developing and/or updating written company or departmental procedures related to software development.-Oversee software requirment management process, configuration management process and software defect tracking process. -Support outsourced software vendor audits and qualifications, assist software acquisitions. -Manage off site (outsourced) software testing team.-2-5 years in software or mechanical quality engineering role.-High proficiency in C/C++.-Skilled in software requirement management, configuration management, and defect tracking techniques. -CSQE certification preferred.B.S in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.CSQE certification preferred.Stryker is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce.To read more about Stryker, please visit our website at www.stryker.com
