Position Summary
The Medical Imaging Specialist will use his/her knowledge of clinical imaging systems and experience with technical infrastructure to develop and improve medical imaging technology. Prior experience with companies such as Philips, Varian, GE, CMS, Fuji, Hologic, Swissray, Cedara, Siemens, Elekta, Merge, Radlink, Toshiba, Konica, AGFA, NOMOS, AccuRay, Alara, Tomotherapy, Nucletron, or similar companies is helpful, but not required.

Primary Responsibilities Provide functional and technical application support, including requirements analysis, application design, program code, testing and implementation for clinical systems Providing expertise to leverage clinical systems to meet patient care and research goals, and collaborate with internal and external constituency to build, enhance, maintain appropriate systems Research, design and build interfaces with partner clinical systems Conducts leading-edge research in medical image processing for Digital Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, and Cardiac products for automatic collimator detection, image contrast/sharpness enhancement, image registration, image stitching, 3D reconstruction and other related areas. Develop and execute testing plans as needed to ensure stability of production environment Plan and implement upgrades, enhancements, bug fixes 

QualificationsBachelors degree in Image Processing, Physics, Computer Science, or similar Three+  years experience designing, implementing, interfacing and supporting clinical and medical imaging applications. Strong knowledge/experience in clinical information and imaging/PACS systems (IMPAC experience preferred) Prototypes and develops algorithms, tools, and systems to provide medical image enhancement. Knowledge/experience building interfaces between systems, and experience with interface engines (OpenEngine, E*Gate, etc.) Proficiency in Matlab and C/C++ is required. Experience in Labview, C#, FPGA programming and/or GPU technologies (for  example, DirectX) are preferred. Relational database and query tool experience preferred Knowledge of application security principles
