By the end of May 2008, the company had 116 Gander Mountain outdoor lifestyle stores in 23 states.The Gander Mountain brand was founded in Wilmot, Wisconsin, in 1960 originally as a catalog operation which over time was augmented with retail stores.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Power Sports Sales and Services Manager is responsible for managing the power sport department focusing on sales, compliance, profitability and service level goals.
JOB DESCRIPTION:Provide outstanding customer service by answering all questions that pertain to power sports. Handle all customer service issues with an extreme sense of urgency. Manage the power sport service technician(s) and service bay ensuring all customer service is done in a safe and timely manner. Manage the power sport administrator – ensuring compliance of all paperwork, insurance, warranty documents, etc. Maintain all power product/customer service records and ensure compliance with all regulations as it relates to the power sport/service areas. Comply with all OSHA/Hazardous Material matters as it pertains to the service and sales floor areas (chemicals, etc). Properly manage all warranty repair work for all manufacturers that Gander Mountain has executed agreements with, ensuring claims are made properly and timely to guarantee payment. Maintain a clean, well-organized work area. Maintain and constantly strive to increase employee productivity. Responsible for managing all team assignments and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Degree in retail sales, service or business management and/or 5+ years of experience in the power sport industry. Maintain a knowledge base on all types of power sports product and services to provide the best customer service to Gander Mountain customers. Strong computer skills, especially with Windows and Microsoft Office products. Capable to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 70 pounds regularly. Degree in retail sales, service or business management and/or 5+ years of experience in the power sport industry. Maintain a knowledge base on all types of power sports product and services to provide the best customer service to Gander Mountain customers. Strong computer skills, especially with Windows and Microsoft Office products. Capable to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 70 pounds regularly. Must be at least 18 and have his/her own tools.
