Yard Manager
Job Purpose:
Stages raw product for processing by receiving, grading, and storing raw product; recording inventory; supervising staff.
Duties:
* Accomplishes manufacturing human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
* Meets operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
* Meets manufacturing financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
* Receives raw product by supervising unloading; inspecting and grading shipments; recording condition and quantity.
* Maintains inventory by inputting quantity and status; staging product.
* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
* Keeps equipment operating by requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
* Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
