POSITION DESCRIPTION:

At American Standard we are increasing our focus on building our brand in every channel and at every consumer touch point. Web sites are the leading resource in our industry for research, information gathering and shopping and therefore present one of our greatest assets in reaching both consumers and trade professionals.. To help us better leverage our existing position on the web, we are creating a new position for a Web Specialist. We are looking for someone who up to the challenge of developing and maintaining our company web sites across our family of brands. This person should be service oriented and customer focused, both internally and externally. Someone who possesses the ability to work across all levels of our business, channels and brands. We are looking for a person that can help us position our sites as the leading authority for baths and kitchens for consumers and trade professionals We want someone to be constantly looking to evaluate ways to reach more people and influence their brand preference. We need someone with both a creative and analytical approach to problem solving and familiar with working within brand standards and established budgets.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Web specialist responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and updating product information on our sites:

• Responsible for all in-house web/email projects. This would include creating and maintaining HTML/Flash landing pages, micro sites, modules, etc. Execution of all aspects of our email newsletter communications, including design mock-ups and site wireframes for internal approvals.
• Assistance with external website product listings including; Big Hammer, homeportfolio.com, designerpages.com, ASA database, etc.
• Image management for web. Responsibilities include; image collection, formatting, editing and silhouetting existing photos. Management of new web shots as required.
• Management of flexible messaging areas of our web sites. Work with internal stakeholders to develop content, copy, images for all landing pages.
• Create web banners and text ads as required by internal stakeholders
• Continually review competitive brand sites, industry sites and associated sites related to plumbing and report out key insights.
• Manage all maintenance issues related to our sites. Work with internal stakeholders and web agency when required to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Understanding of brand marketing and how to represent it in marketing communications. Able to evaluate marketing ideas and creative concepts against agreed upon marketing strategy and give feedback.
• Able to consider different points of view then make a decision backed by solid rationale. Confident decision maker. Able to make wise budget allocations and timing decisions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in Tech/Graphics
• Proficient with CSS/Javascript, HTML, Dreamweaver (ability to hand code preferred, but not required)
• Proficient with Adobe Graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, etc…)
• Understanding of Adobe Flash with basic actionscript ability
• Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
• Familiarity updating websites through back-end tools/CMS
• Experience with back-end technology/dynamic site creation
• Ability to produce professional visual designs
• Experience with ASP & .NET, XML & Actionscript 2.0, Photography/Video/Animation ability a plus
