Posted Date: 08-15-08 Overview: Warehouse Associate II Arrow Electronics, Inc.Solon, Ohio At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Associate in our Solon, Ohio location. The Warehouse Associate distributes product to designated areas and ensures proper documentation is complete. This includes shipping and receiving. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Unload and transport product to designated areas ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.• Verify orders for shipment, enter shipping information into the system • Repackage individual product as required.• Load orders on proper carrier as specified for shipment.• Receive product by comparing product part number and quantity to the packing slip, enter corresponding information into WMS (Warehouse Management System).• Stock product by scanning and placing product in assigned bin location as instructed by WMS.• Receive trucks, unload product, evaluate condition of materials received and transport to designated areas ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.• Pull product for order staging purposes in efforts to assemble order to fulfill customer expectations.• Contact freight carriers for pickup of special orders as needed and load orders on proper carrier as specified for shipment.• Assist Facilities staff as needed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Able to effectively interact with a variety of personnel and contacts outside of company.• Able to manage day-to-day activities and exercise independence.• Must be organized and able to work accurately. • Willing to be cross trained and open-minded to flexibility of job functions.• Tow motor equipment certification training.• Able to lift 85 pounds.• Ability to work at a height of 40 feet off the ground.
