Our globally recognized brands include Sharpie, Paper Mate, DYMO, EXPO, Waterman, Parker, Rolodex, IRWIN, LENOX, BernzOmatic, Rubbermaid, Graco, Calphalon, Goody, and Teutonia. This is a job summary which includes essential job duties of the position.  More specific information regarding duties may be provided upon request for particular locations and facilities. The Vice President of Business Development will seek, research and recommend for execution brand appropriate new business growth opportunities.  Responsibilities include the following: Longer term focus areas: Direct/Party Sales: Define and develop a direct party sales channel for Calphalon Products.  Options range from launching the Calphalon Brand in Canada and other countries through this channel to developing a unique high end brand for the channel that will allow party sales in the US as well as Internationally. Acquisitions: Hunt, evaluate, and surface acquisition opportunities and participate in due-diligence activities.  Support integration activities with existing business where appropriate. Retail E-Commerce Partnership Development: Seek partnerships with outside resources to grow expertise outside of core competencies. Examples: design expertise, gift packs, channel access (commercial, builder, gift/flower market, gourmet grocer). Culinary Centers: Direct re-structuring plan and execution of CCC’s to a scaleable breakeven model.  Day to day operations will remain in Brand Marketing. Accountability Measurements (short and long term): Actual vs. Budget international sales Actual vs. Budget new category sales New Partnership Programs vs. business plan # of Feasible new Licensing opportunities surfaced # of new licensing opportunities implemented (actual income improvement vs. business plan expectations of the licensing opportunity) Actual Financials of Culinary Centers # of Feasible new acquisition opportunities identified and acted upon Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field 15+ years of marketing experience General manager/business background (understanding of interplay between all business functions). New business development experience with strong preference for a luxury brand understanding. Financial Acumen: ability to understand what will result in top and bottom line growth.  Ability to structure deals, develop financial models and business plans. Understanding of the Calphalon brand, and what will bring value to our brand longer term (increased sales, increased brand equity, increased consumer word of mouth endorsement, increased professional endorsement, increased reach/scope of brand, etc). Starting business initiatives from the ground up (entrepreneurial experience).
