You will unleash the potential of your talents as never before.Key Responsibilitie: Evaluate current facilities for opportunities for improvement as well as benchmark world class facilities for best in practice ideas/solutions/alternatives in order to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Improve quality & throughput of the assembly line by designing assembly line flow and station layout. Evaluate and assist with capacity and staffing planning activities. Lead RFA and RFQ creation and administration for capital equipment purchases. Lead FMEA process for product /process changes. Act as a team member in defining and utilizing the Kaizen improvement team. Participate on VPI teams to improve product designs for the customer. Analyze impact of VPI/VPCR changes on the Manufacturing process. Participate in regular management reviews of projects to Lead manufacturing cross- functional meetings to efficiently implement product/process changes. Be the manufacturing expert on each product and how it is assembled. Lead Manufacturing Engineering Technicians. Travel Required: 10-15% SKILLS:B.S.M.E./I.E. M.S.M.E/I.E, or related discipline with 2-5 years experience working with diesel engines. (Masters preferred) Be computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project). Two to five years manufacturing experience. Project management, Plant Layout and materials flow, Workplace Design, Workflow Analysis, Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Failsafe Techniques, Job Safety analysis, Simulation Engineering, Simultaneous Engineering, and Six Sigma tools Knowledge of assembly line automation processes, desire plc programming experience. Knowledge of warehouse/kitting and packaging engineering a plus. Ability to work with engine calibrations and support software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Develop and conduct training in support of role. Analytical and problem solving skills (CACI, 7 Step, Kaizen, 6 Sigma) Participate as an active member of the manufacturing team. Able to work independently and cross functionally in a team environment. Six Sigma green belt certified preferred, minimum experience/training in six sigma required. Background knowledge in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
