VP of Procurement & Logistics

If so, then Crown Products may be the place for you. We are currently looking for a VP of Procurement & Logistics, who is eager to learn, and can be an effective communicator in order to meet our job needs.

Job Description & Qualifications:

 

· Travel internationally to evaluate, negotiate, select and qualify new or existing vendors.  Must have the skill and ability to evaluate potential vendor’s realistic capabilities.

· Prepares purchase orders and sends copies to vendors. Operates a PC to input, manipulate, and retrieve data.  Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel. 

· Must have the skill and ability to build long-term relationships with all vendors to properly evaluate issues. Negotiate with vendors to obtain materials with the best value to include price, delivery, customer service, and quality.

· Must understand international delivery options, details and programs including duties, freight options, tax rates and options, brokers, and logistic carriers.

· Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing and inventory control methods.

· Good oral and written communication skills.  Ability to negotiate with vendors.

· Experience in a purchasing and logistics function.

 

 

Requirements:

 

· BA/BS degree in Business, or related field, or 5+ years of direct experience in a related field.

· Excellent project management skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Highly analytical with great attention to detail; experience with Excel.

· Highly motivated, results-oriented, self-starter that knows how to motivate employees, and works well under stress and deadlines.
