USA jobs: Manager Compliance & Analysis
Reporting to the CFO the selected manager will be charged with review and ongoing monitoring of internal accounting and financial reporting controls. This responsibility will have substantial financial analysis and compliance content requiring substantial public company background experience.
Extensive knowledge of SOX 404; and documented experience as the primary point of contact for external auditors regards internal controls testing and SEC compliance are essential for consideration. You must have broad operations, accounting and financial reporting skill sets.
Responsibilities will be global and include all domestic and European locations / operations. Travel however will be limited; with a first year estimate of about 15% with subsequent travel of less then 6 to 10 trips and only 2 outside the US, annually.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the annual SOX 404 review;
· Provide ongoing financial analysis;
· Assist with SEC compliance and reporting;
· Assist with income tax provision and coordination of tax compliance;
· Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls and improve controls by recommending changes policies and procedures;
· Work closely with the CFO, operations and auditors to ensure effective testing and remediation;
· Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews, year-end audits and other projects as needed;
· Will be called upon to assist with due diligence for prospective acquisitions.
Requirements:
· 5 to 10 years of professional experience including corporate accounting, financial controls and testing, compliance and internal audit;
· Either a CPA or CIA is required;
· Business BS is mandatory with an advanced degree preferred but not mandatory;
· Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements required;
· Experience working for a public firm or supporting publicly listed clients while in public accounting essential;
· International experience is a significant plus;
· Knowledge of one or more accounting software systems is required, with a full cycle implementation experience being highly desirable;
· Strong verbal and written communication skills essential;
· Must have a demonstrated ability to manage both tactical and strategic responsibilities and involvement;
· Although a public/ private profile is preferred, interested prospects with strong all public backgrounds are encouraged to respond
