BAE Systems Mobility and Protection Systems is a worldwide leader in combat vehicles, individual soldier equipment, vehicle armoring, and seating/restraint systems. M&PS has four distinct business units, each with unique tradeshow needs and varying expectations. The ideal candidate must be able to both focus on the big picture and manage all the details. The position is responsible for managing all tradeshow planning and logistics from beginning to end. All responsibilities and logistics are handled internally with minimal external resources. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and multi-tasking. M&PS participates in 90+ trade shows annually, of which approximately 15 percent are international. Exhibit size ranges from tabletops to a 20x40 ft booth. This position reports to the Director of Communications. The trade show manager's goal is to migrate M&PS to a strategic, polished tradeshow program with: alignment with marketing objectives and strategies, annual evaluation and planning, consistency of brand and image, and optimization of owned booth properties. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the company's current tradeshow approach and logistics but also to develop the roadmap to get to a comprehensive, annual tradeshow program. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or business management. Additionally must have 5+ years experience managing tradeshows to include leading all aspects of tradeshow functions, from planning to personally handling all logistics. Must have managed 40+ shows per year. Must be able to lead development of roadmap for overarching, annual tradeshow program. International tradeshow experience desirable. Knowledge of shell scheme planning desirable, e.g. for international shows. Knowledge of virtual tradeshows desirable. Must have excellent PC skills, including familiarity with Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, PeopleSoft, PageMaker, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills and be highly organized and detail oriented. Secret clearence a plus and CTSM degree or classes desirable. Prefer CEP (Certified Event Planner) People are the greatest asset in any Company ...
