Tool EngineerCincinnati, OH area
Cincinnati, OH areaTool EngineerSearch #2970
Sustained growth of 10-15% annually has allowed our client to steadily expand its base of North and South American manufacturing sites. The firm is a market leader, producing a diverse mix of plastic products for industrial, commercial and governmental customers. Substantial capital programs for new sites plus equipment upgrades for existing sites require the expansion of its corporate engineering team. Accordingly the client requires an additional Tooling Engineer to support extrusion operations. The role designs extrusion dies, designs other upstream and downstream tooling, manages the tool build and approval process, and manages installation and startup of tool programs. Career development for the position offers dual tracks for successful performers. Depending upon career interests, individuals can pursue either technical leadership roles or move into operations management.
This position requires minimum five years tool design experience for plastic fabrication processes, which include a minimum two years designing extrusion dies. An associates degree is preferred within tool design or a related discipline. The client requires working proficiency with SolidEdge or AutoCAD for consideration. Superior communication and program management skills are required to effectively deal with vendors, plant leadership, and customers.
Our client requests that we limit candidate locations to Ohio or an adjacent state.
