Theoretical Aerodynamicist Skills Required: Aeronautical, Mechanical, Fluid Dynamics, Inviscid 3D Flow Solution, Linear Algebra, 3D Geometry, SolidWorks, Fan Geometries, Parametric Design, HVAC, Air Handling, Theoretical Aerodynamicist Job Description: Theoretical AerodynamicistIf you are a great Theoretical Aerodynamicist with great Aeronautical Engineering experience, please read on!What you need:• Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with a focus on fluid dynamics. • 5+ years experience in aerodynamics research. • Strong math, linear algebra and 3D geometry knowledge and how it can be applied programmatically. • Familiarity with inviscid 3D flow solution methodology. • Experience writing Excel macros. • Proficiency with commercial CAD software tools. • Experience with statistics and experimental methods and standards. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent technical, conceptual, and analytic skills.What you'll be doing:• Combine knowledge and experience in aerodynamics to develop and optimize best in class design tools for residential, commercial and industrial air handling equipment. • Implement a parametric design approach to developing fans. • Use computer aided design (CAD – SolidWorks) to design geometries. • Document designs, procedures, analysis, results, and conclusions. • Advancing and developing the parametric design application that will be used to generate fan geometries. • Working with design engineers to identify their requirements for the parametric design tool, as well as keeping the executive team up to date on the capabilities of the application.
