Test Supervisor (10646)

Description  Scope: Position reports to:  Test Engineering Manager Number of direct reports:  5 people including 1 engineer and 4 technicians Position:  Supervise BSFB test activity in Elyria laboratory.  Key Client/Reporting Relationships:Report directly to engineering test manager located in BSFB Kalamazoo office.  Work closely with Air Disc and Specialty Products engineering managers located in BSFB Elyria office Position Responsibilities: Supervision of daily activity of direct reports  (1 engineer and 4 technicians) IPMD responsibility for direct reports Work time approval for direct reports Provide engineering support for tests, test stands and work instructions/procedures Support new design development, cost-out activity, current product and customer support programs Administer test request and report database for Elyria and coordinate weekly priority/status meetings Implement and enforce practices to comply with BSFB and BCVS quality system Pursue improved processes, methods and equipment for cost, quality and delivery Support growth initiatives for lab facilities and direct reports Some travel required (10%) to support test activity and meetings(Kalamazoo, Elyria, MPG, Customers, Suppliers)Required Skills Strong verbal and writing communication skills Experienced team leader Experience with lab and vehicle test instrumentation and data acquisition systems Quality / Stress testing in an Automotive Enviorment Testing Supervisor experienceRequired Experience Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree 5 or more years experience in applicable functions (brake products, development testing)
