Technical Support Specialist - Hardware

The Technical Support Specialist (Hardware) is responsible for providing highly technical service level support, project management and hardware design solutions for gaming machines, signs, meters, and other related products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems with ATI game platforms, meters, OASIS Hardware, and signs either remotely or on-site. * Provides 24-hour support to NSSC (National Service Support Center), field technicians, and customers. * Reads and analyzes raw serial data from games. * Reproduces issues in test and lab environment. * Describes technical issues in writing and verbally to R&D, NSSC, and customers. * Manages the technical process of new installations and upgrades of the ATI game platforms, meters, OASIS Hardware, and signs at customer locations. * Manages resources and plans set-up and support of trade shows. * Manages and supports special projects on new games and OASIS Hardware in the field. * Manages the installation of OASIS EPROM and action plans at customer locations. * Manages and maintains OASIS EPROM Matrix for compliance to ensure customers receive the correct OASIS EPROM. * Manages turnover process to National Service Support Center for game installations and action plans. * Works closely with customers during the installation process to address problems and provide customer service. * Provides ad-hoc technical training to customers on games and OASIS Customers either verbally or in writing. * Performs scoping of customer's slot floor to determine which parts are needed to work with OASIS system. * Ensures that customers are upgraded to most recent approved Games and OASIS Hardware and Software. * Coordinates with gaming regulators to ensure the proper operation of all ATI game platforms, meters, OASIS Hardware, and signs. * Identifies and reports potential ATI game platforms, meters, OASIS Hardware, and signs issues to R&D. * Documents and updates in-house knowledge database for ATI game platforms, meters, OASIS Hardware, and signs. * Coordinates with Compliance the release of new OASIS Hardware into the field. * Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Electronics or Computer Science or equivalent credentials in gaming machine/system servicing, installation or related fields. . Experience: Position requires 5 years experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of ATI Games, meters, OASIS HW, and signs. Two years casino industry experience preferred. Skills, knowledge, and qualifications: * Knowledge of gaming hardware, firmware, and ability to interpret electronic schematics diagrams * Knowledge of Slot Systems firmware and hardware. * Must be able to work independently and require little direction * Must be able to act as team leader and redirect workflow appropriately * Read, write and speak English. * Must have strong analytical, problem identification and problem solving abilities. This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NVGB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to perform after-hours technical support on a rotating basis. * Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/work station and respond to written and oral cues. * Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment. * May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 25 lbs.
